| "Experience
is a great teacher, if you're willing to listen..."
How
We Did it - Our Story:
A
few years ago, we tried to create an online
presence for our brick and mortar retail store.
Of course we had visions of building another
Amazon.com or some equivalent internet success.
We had heard, and believed that all we had to
do was throw up a website, and millions of visitors
would flock to our door. We learned two things:
(1) Most websites fail, and (2) they don't have
to.
Experience
is a great teacher, if you're willing to listen.
After a shaky start, and with critical advice
from some very knowledgable and helpful associates,
we finally were able to acheive some measure
of success with our retail site. Eventually
it began to account for over half of our total
sales. So we did it again, with another site
and had equal success. Both sites continue to
generate good income, and one of them was recently
selected as a demonstration site for one of
the internet's ten largest web properties.
In
addition, we have launched several other websites,
all of which turned a profit in the first two
months, and continue to do so. One was featured
on CNET recently, and all rank high on most
of the major search engines, with each receiving
over 150,000 pageviews a month. Not exactly
Amazon.com you say? That's right, we turn a
profit each month and they don't.
The
mission of this website is to teach you the
principles of profitability, while providing
many useful resources to help you on your way.
We don't make any guarantees, but this is not
really rocket science. We believe if we can
figure it out, anyone can.
Good
luck, and let us know how you do.
